Capri by St. Geneve Luxury Bedding
The Capri collection is our most popular sheeting material and represents fully one half of all our sheeting sales, which is nothing short of incredible when we offer dozens of fabrics. Many bedding ensembles incorporate Capri elements such as fitted sheets or flat sheets. With a choice of 100 different colours, there is sure to be one to suit any decor. Capri is a wonderful 100% Giza 70 Egyptian Cotton Sateen fabric which becomes quite soft after the first few washes.
A beautiful fabric which wears exceptionally well, washes and dries beautifully and will not pill. All of the right elements to make this one of our favourite offerings.

Genuine Giza 70 Egyptian Cotton
Although nearly every sheet package off the shelf today will say “Egyptian Cotton”, you’ll notice the percentage is conspicuously missing. The simple fact is that sheeting will be labelled as “Egyptian Cotton” when the cotton was either grown in Egypt (keeping in mind most cotton grown in Egypt is actually American Uplands Cotton) or by simply blending in one or two percent genuine Egyptian Cotton species with common American Uplands.
Virtually every bed linen fabric we offer is made from pure Giza 70 Egyptian Cotton. There are only a few exceptions including Malouf, Dormisette flannel, and specifically St Genève Camille, Jeneva and Nico.
Genuine Italian Fabric
Nearly every fabric we offer from St Genève is woven at mills in Italy which have passed down through several generations. The mills only weave fabrics from genuine 100% Giza 70 Egyptian Cotton. Giza 70 is essentially one sub-species of Egyptian Cotton and is considered the best of all 100+ types of Egyptian Cotton.
About Thread Count
With cotton sheeting the highest possible thread count is just over 400. When a fabric is listed as anything higher than 400, red flags must go up. This means they are actually quoting strand count (or just inventing a number) and this is not the appropriate method. For example we have sheeting materials with 600 or 1,015 strand count. Transparency is important to us, and as such we correctly market these as 300 and 380 thread count.
Estimated Delivery, Shipping Costs & Availability
Nearly all bed linens offered on our website are made to order. Lead times are 3-5 weeks for all St Genève sheeting.
Generally for our bed linens, wash and dry at low-medium temperatures on a gentle cycle. A hot dryer wears out all fabrics faster. Do not over dry. Do not use fabric softeners, bleach, brighteners or bleach alternatives. Always bed linens separately and never wash with other articles of any kind. Avoid using the “water saver” function as this will wear your fabrics out faster. If this specific fabric differs from the instructions here, we’ll make mention at the top of this page.
